At Netskope, giving back to our community is one of our core company tenets. We want to ensure that whenever possible we are doing what we can to help, and now more than ever is the time to embrace it. As part of this, we started a fundraiser within the company to help the many people around the world being impacted by COVID-19 during this time. I asked Netskopers in each region to choose local charities that are working to help during this pandemic with a mission they believe in. After just a few weeks, I am proud to say that across the four organizations we have raised over $60,000. Here’s some information about the great causes we are supporting through this effort.
No Kid Hungry

In North America, we selected No Kid Hungry. With schools closing nationwide due to coronavirus, millions of vulnerable children are losing the healthy meals they depend on. No Kid Hungry is working to ensure every kid gets three meals a day, providing emergency grants to food banks and community groups, and working with the federal and local government to support children in need.
Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders

In EMEA and LATAM, the team selected Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). Emergencies are messy, complex, and chaotic. People’s lives are threatened, families shattered, and the future is uncertain. The needs are often huge and MSF is designed to respond fast, with a network of medics and aid experts across some 65 countries. Right now, Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders is providing urgently needed medical care and support in more than 40 countries to counter the new coronavirus disease.
The World Health Organization

In Japan, the team has chosen The World Health Organization (WHO). The WHO is leading and coordinating the global effort, supporting countries to prevent, detect, and respond to the pandemic.
Barnardos Australia

In Australia, the team has chosen Barnardos Australia. The COVID-19 pandemic is causing a greater need for our services in the community than we have ever seen before. Social isolation will mean more families will be under financial and emotional stress, which could push them to breaking point. And in these circumstances, sadly it is the children who suffer most. Families in crisis are already turning to us for help in unprecedented numbers. It is critical that we continue to provide our essential services to support vulnerable children and families.
With the support I’ve seen from Netskope employees alone, I thought that we could do even more if we extended this effort to our friends. With that in mind, we’re setting our sights on a goal of raising more than $100,000.
