Today we are thrilled to announce that Netskope has once again been named a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Security Service Edge (SSE). This is the fourth year in a row Netskope has been recognized as a Leader, and we have been recognized as a Leader every time since the inaugural 2022 Magic Quadrant for SSE.
Alongside that recognition, we also placed first in three of the six Gartner® Critical Capabilities™ for SSE Use Cases, and second in the remaining three. Netskope is the ONLY vendor to be in the Top 2 of every single SSE Use Case among any of the vendors in this year’s Critical Capabilities ranking, and also the only vendor to be placed FIRST in more than one Use Case. We believe this validates Netskope’s expertise in offering world class capabilities across the full breadth of SSE from protecting and accelerating web, SaaS and AI, through providing robust and performant private application access, to our comprehensive unified data security tools and firewall-as-a-service capabilities.

We are very proud of what we have accomplished together with customers and partners. Below, I highlight three important factors that have put us in this coveted position, and helped us earn the confidence of more than 4,000 customers that use the Netskope One platform.
First, we built our platform the right way. Many vendors profess they deliver “platformization”, however it’s really a “price list platform” with numerous products on a price list describing what they can do, which is misleading. In our view, architecture is as important as the individual SSE capabilities. Architecture is critical, and building it the right way is just as critical. We apply these principles to how all capabilities in Netskope One work together, SSE or otherwise, to protect data, accelerate performance, and simplify management. Because we built our platform the right way, we can maximize the experience of our customers and confidently expand use cases and future needs.
The uniqueness of our architecture, and the strength of our capabilities, have enabled us to reimagine security and networking, and grow a platform by truly integrating new technology. We don’t rush new features or components or chase shiny objects, rather we prioritize a level of integration and functionality that is only possible because of our commitment to a single policy and inspection engine, a single client, a single gateway, and a single console.
And while the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Security Service Edge only covers part of a secure access service edge (SASE) strategy, the Netskope One platform extends the same philosophy into other functionalities of the platform. This includes SD-WAN, a branch transformation strategy, with the ability to fully replace legacy VPN and NAC products, and IoT Security, all using the same Netskope Zero Trust Engine to govern access policy decisions for locations and devices.
The second key factor is that there should be no trade-offs between performance and security. Our architecture was created with both security and network modernization in mind. We believe no customer should ever have to make a choice between one or the other, which is so often the case with legacy approaches.
Netskope’s modern architecture delivers superior visibility and control, ensuring fast, secure enterprise traffic in today’s interconnected and threat-filled digital landscape. The secret sauce to this balance is the Netskope NewEdge private cloud infrastructure and network. With more than 75 regions and 120+ data centers globally available to all customers, providing full compute and all services, NewEdge is the perfect foundation to meet the goal of no security and network performance tradeoffs, along with no challenges running services on unreliable public cloud infrastructure.
Thirdly, we believe being the highest-ranked vendor in Gartner’s Private Application Access Use Case, highest-ranked in the Essential SSE Use Case, and highest-ranked in the SaaS Enablement Use Case is not possible without listening and engaging with customers and partners, and being agile to step up to market demands. The foundational belief of Netskope’s platform architecture is that we need to decrypt, decode, and understand ALL traffic, including AI. This allows us to react to new challenges and solve customer problems expeditiously, without the need to build new tools. One key example of this strategy was how quickly we were able to give customers visibility and control of genAI usage, both managed and unmanaged, and why we have now evolved our protection beyond user access to solve many adjacent AI security challenges.
Our goal at Netskope will always be a single, integrated solution, a true platform, as the market evolves toward a cloud and AI-centric future. It’s paramount to accommodate new capabilities in an elegant platform architecture rather than loosely tie together many disparate parts in an attempt to make a “platform.”
Finally, we will never stop innovating across the Netskope One platform. Period. We believe strongly in the phrase “innovate or die” and have not, and will not, change our commitment to investing heavily in R&D, even as we’ve grown. We know how important it is to empower security and network, infrastructure and operations (I&O) teams to reduce risk, lower cost, and eliminate complexity. None of this would be possible without our loyal customers, our invested partner community, and the entire team at Netskope. A big THANK YOU to each of you.
