Additional NewEdge data centres increase capacity and coverage to better serve customers in region with fast, secure access and superior application performance
Santa Clara, Calif. – Aug 17th, 2021 – Netskope, the SASE leader, announced its continued expansion of the Netskope NewEdge network across Latin America, with new data centres coming online in Lima, Peru; followed by Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia, Brazil. The new facilities add to the existing NewEdge footprint already established in the region and help make Netskope the leading SASE vendor across Latin America, with more coverage than any other vendor.
The NewEdge network is a critical component of the Netskope Security Cloud, enabling the company to on-ramp user traffic as quickly as possible, perform the real-time inline traffic processing required for security and data protection locally, and speed user access to the web, cloud, SaaS, or private apps they need to do their job. This performance is critical for avoiding trade-offs between security and business productivity when protecting data, preventing web- and cloud-based security threats, and applying Zero Trust principles throughout the technology architecture.
Netskope’s growth in Latin America mirrors similar rapid expansion in other regions, in order to address headquarter, branch, and remote worker needs for some of the world’s largest enterprises and government institutions. Netskope NewEdge has existing coverage in Latin America through data centres in Bogota, Colombia; Santiago, Chile, Buenos Aires, Argentina and São Paulo, Brazil. Expanded APAC NewEdge coverage was recently announced in Australia, New Zealand, The Philippines, and Singapore, and recent EMEA additions included supplementary coverage in the UK, France, and the UAE, as well as new presence in Switzerland.
