Starting January 1, 2023, Netskope will offer customers Cloud Exchange (CE), its industry leading integration platform, as a managed service. This managed service will enable a much larger customer base to benefit from CE, including customers lacking in-house resources or preferring to consume CE as a managed service. The new managed service delivers CE as a hosted solution that is monitored, maintained, and managed by Netskope, so customers don’t have to dedicate resources and staff to deploy and manage the solution. Customers now have two ways to consume CE: as a managed service or with a do-it-yourself (DIY) approach using in-house resources.
According to the (ISC)² Cybersecurity Workforce Study 2022, there is a global cybersecurity workforce gap of 3.4 million people, so it should come as no surprise that many organizations just don’t have the resources to stay on top of the CE server and its ecosystem through maintenance releases, updates, and patches. They just want it to be “on” and ready to be configured to meet their needs. The new managed service for CE will provide that environment, along with a 99.9% SLA availability, 24×7 support, and an up-to-date code set that takes advantage of all the new integrations and features that Netskope releases every month, allowing customers to continue unlocking value from their investment.
Get to know Netskope Cloud Exchange
To provide a bit of context, CE enables SecOps teams to effectively leverage existing investments across their security and IT stacks to reduce the attack surface, accelerate threat detection, investigation, and response, mitigate risk, and improve their overall security posture. With access to exceptional cloud telemetry, insights, and intelligence, security teams gain expanded visibility to make better decisions and reduce attack dwell time. CE gives customers access to timely threat intelligence, workflow automation, log collection, and application, user, and identity risk with adaptive policy controls to support a zero trust approach to security.
Since its release in 2020, hundreds of Netskope customers have derived value from CE and its many functions—pushing richly nuanced logs to multiple systems, triggering tickets for triaged investigation and response actions, sharing indicators of compromise between IT/security stacks. These functions help to enhance threat prevention and reduce attacker dwell time, create a framework for sharing, normalizing, merging, and customizing risk scores and then provide the means to programmatically contain user, device, and application risks as they rise and fall. Thousands of scarce security operational hours have been saved when Cloud Exchange has been configured to automate these critical processes. Flexible pricing and packaging options
Netskope is offering five different packages so customers with different needs, resources, and sizes can benefit from CE as a managed service. This gives customers the flexibility to select the package that best meets their needs. Netskope introduced the concept of “plugin credits” to help customers choose the most appropriate package based on the number and type(s) of integrations (aka: plugins) as well as the amount of data needed to configure their hosted Cloud Exchange instance(s). For example, customers with a small number of integrations can subscribe to the extra-small or small package while customers with many integrations or high volumes of log data can subscribe to the large or extra-large package.
Ongoing expansion of partner ecosystem
Netskope is committed to expanding its partnerships across the cybersecurity ecosystem by collaborating with the strongest companies in enterprise technology. From integrations with cloud storage services to delivering cloud forensics to your SIEM to closed-loop workflows with your identity management system, Netskope snaps into your infrastructure to deliver the most comprehensive and efficient security in the market. Cloud Exchange currently has more than 60 integrations, including integrations with leaders in email security, endpoint security, identity services, threat intelligence, XDR, SD-WAN, SIEM, SOAR, IR solutions. and more, enabling customers to deploy an integrated, automated, and efficient cloud security stack. Expanding Cloud Risk Exchange to include application risk
In addition to the new managed service for Cloud Exchange, Netskope continues to focus on innovation and has enhanced the Cloud Risk Exchange (CRE) module of CE to include application risk. This gives customers the ability to leverage valuable application risk scores and insights to reduce risk, improve security, and make better decisions. Customers gain visibility into the different types of risks associated with their ecosystems of managed and unmanaged applications. The CRE module offers application risk integrations with BitSight, SecurityScorecard, ServiceNow. Learn more about the Cloud Risk Exchange module of CE.
