Company positioned furthest to the right overall for completeness of vision in first edition of report
Netskope, the cloud security company, today announced that Gartner, Inc. has recognized the company as a Leader in its 2017 Magic Quadrant for Cloud Access Security Brokers. In addition to its recognition as a Leader, the company also been positioned the furthest to the right overall for its completeness of vision. The report evaluated 11 different vendors on 15 different criteria. A complimentary copy is available for download on the Netskope website.
Gartner defines cloud access security brokers (CASBs) as on-premises, or cloud-based security policy enforcement points, placed between cloud service consumers and cloud service providers to combine and interject enterprise security policies as the cloud-based resources are accessed[1].

According to the report, “Cloud access security brokers have become an essential element of any cloud security strategy, helping organizations govern the use of cloud and protect sensitive data in the cloud. Security and risk management leaders should align CASB vendors to address specific use-case requirements[2].”
