Expert practitioners will share client strategies, build impactful programs, and lead internal security efforts
LOS ALTOS, Calif. – Mar. 7, 2018 – Netskope, the leader in cloud security, today announced the expansion of the company’s office of the chief strategy officer with the appointment of Lamont Orange as chief information security officer (CISO) and Neil Thacker as CISO, EMEA. Orange, a respected industry veteran CISO, and Thacker, with 20 years of experience in the information security industry, join the new team led by chief strategy officer Jason Clark. Building on the company’s forward momentum, the CISOs will work with the broader CSO team, as well as Netskope sales, product, and marketing functions to help transform customer security strategies to adapt to an increasingly cloud-first world. The CISOs will also drive Netskope’s own security strategy, integrating best-of-breed security strategies from the company’s customer base across its own product, marketing, and sales verticals.
“Security is now a core part of every business, and it is important for organizations to have a complete understanding across the company — whether in the board room or in the development team or in the field,” said Sanjay Beri, founder and CEO, Netskope. “Lamont brings an impeccable pedigree to Netskope and exemplifies the Netskope culture of being collaborative, innovative and transparent. I look forward to working alongside him to maintain and drive our top-notch security posture and evangelize the best-of-breed approach we’ve employed with the security community.”
Orange has more than 20 years of experience in the information security industry, having previously served as vice president of enterprise security for Charter Communications (now Spectrum) and as senior manager for the security and technology services practice at Ernst & Young. Prior to joining Netskope, Orange was CISO for Vista Equity Partners/Vista Consulting Group. He was responsible for managing the cybersecurity programs and development of cybersecurity talent within the Vista portfolio, which included more than 50 companies. Prior to Vista, Lamont was Information Security Officer for Websense. In that role, he was responsible for developing, maintaining and socializing the company’s internal security program. He was also responsible for working with current and potential customers demonstrating security of the solutions and the connection to the overall security ecosystem. Orange is also an Adjunct Professor at Washington University Saint Louis, Masters of Cybersecurity Program and a member of University of Missouri Science and Technology Board of Trustee.
“Netskope is a company at the cutting edge of today’s security innovations and already trusted by a quarter of the Fortune 100,” said Orange. “I look forward to learning from customers and partners and working closely with the team to develop and implement long-term, scalable security strategies.”
As CISO, EMEA, Thacker is a veteran information security professional and a data protection and privacy expert.
