Fastest on-ramp to SSE services

Global access to the Netskope NewEdge network from anywhere, powered by data centers in 70+ regions

  • Fastest end-to-end round-trip times from user or device through the NewEdge network to web, cloud, SaaS or private app destinations while leveraging zero-trust security approach
  • Utilizing NewEdge network Traffic Management 2.0, traffic is on-ramped to the optimal data center based on lowest latency (best performance) and data center health, not DNS or proximity alone
  • Embraces remote workers and hybrid work with the lightweight Netskope One Client or clientless options for unmanaged devices
  • Flexible deployment options for steering traffic via IPSec/GRE tunnels, proxy chaining or leveraging Netskope Borderless SD-WAN for fully converged single-vendor SASE

Extensive peering

  • Extensive interconnections with web/CDN, cloud SaaS providers and ISPs, representing 3100+ network adjacencies to 640+ unique ASNs
  • Only vendor directly peered with Microsoft and Google in every location possible, protecting 15%+ of world’s commercial Microsoft 365 users today
  • Full mesh network built for maximum resilience with full route control and backed by industry-best SLAs for availability, traffic processing & security efficacy
  • One of the ‘top 15’ most active global Internet Exchange participants which translates into better coverage with more paths to achieve best performance and availability

SLA-backed resiliency

  • Automated data center failover within seconds and overprovisioning prevents data center outages or routing issues affecting the user experience
  • Both on ramp and first mile routing control allows Netskope to control the optimum connection and bypass problem networks.
  • Five-nines (99.999%) uptime and availability SLA for inline services, plus traffic processing latency SLAs for both decrypted (<50ms) and non-decrypted (<10ms) transactions.

Secure, localized experience without compromise

  • Native support for customer-dedicated egress IPs eliminates risks associated with misuse or compromise from shared IPs and provides conditional access to SaaS apps to further bolster network security.
  • Localization Zones, extend security coverage while providing the same experience as going direct-to-net with native language and localized content support for all websites.
  • With both dedicated egress IPs and Localization Zones, no complicated customer configuration or ongoing management required, plus there is no change to existing traffic path or backhauling that adds latency.

Average latency in milliseconds – a good indicator of user experience
Measures packet round trip time from Internet Service Provider (ISP) networks to provider edge servers. High latency creates more idle time where packets are not sent, leading to a reduction in network throughput & available bandwidth.
Testing methodology: Traceroute & ping tests of vendor’s public data centers over 1-2 week period in July/August 2023 using 3rd-party Catchpoint performance testing tool. Speed Test only shows Netskope NewEdge regions where all vendors have a presence.

Introducing localization zones

Bringing local content to every user:

  • With industry-best coverage spanning 220 countries and territories around the world, customers can ensure Netskope security coverage anywhere, all the time.
  • Same experience as going direct-to-net with native language and localized content support for all websites
  • Addresses certain sites and SaaS apps with geographically-restricted access (aka “geo-blocking”) that require users to be local
  • Maintains user’s digital experience and security coverage during failover or maintenance situations, even when out-of-country data center is used
  • No change to existing traffic path, no virtual POPs (lacking compute) or traffic backhauling that adds latency

Why milliseconds matter

  • Network performance drives user experience
  • Low latency boosts performance
  • As latency increases, round trip times also increase
  • High latency consumes available throughput
  • What does this mean for your users?
