With extensive experience in deploying, managing, scaling and securing some of the world’s largest networks, the Netskope Distinguished Network Advisors (DNA) team is an invaluable source for consultation and strategic recommendations on the convergence of networking and security.
The need for secure high-performance connectivity has never been more critical. And with applications increasingly moving to the cloud combined with users accessing from everywhere, taking the right approach in architecting networks is imperative to successfully deliver on this mission. This is particularly important for networking professionals since the network perimeter has evolved and an organization’s valuable data can now reside anywhere.
Digital transformation holds great promise for enterprises to streamline, modernize and optimize their network infrastructure. To best address cyber security risk and future-proof investments, it’s critical for networking and infrastructure leaders to incorporate a data-centric, context-aware approach to understand user and application traffic.

By leveraging his background in operational excellence with a relentless focus on data, metrics and auto-remediation, Bohannon is extremely credible with technical networking audiences. He spent over seven years at Amazon Web Services (AWS) leading the deployment and operations for one of the world's largest private backbones and edge connectivity footprints, and "grew up" as a Network Engineer spending nearly a decade as a field sales engineering Director and Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Instructor.
Mark Day brings a diverse background to his role at Netskope, where he combines his interests in competitive analysis and technology strategy. He is author of the book Bits to Bitcoin: How Our Digital Stuff Works. He has more than thirty patented inventions, and has taught at both MIT and Harvard.
Steve Riley is a Field CTO at Netskope. Having worked at the intersection of cloud and security for pretty much as long as that’s been an actual topic, Steve offers that perspective to field and executive engagements and also supports long-term technology strategy and works with key industry influencers. A widely-renowned expert speaker, author, researcher, and analyst, Steve came to Netskope from Gartner, where for five years he maintained a collection of cloud security research that included the Magic Quadrant for Cloud Access Security Brokers and the Market Guide for Zero Trust Network Access. Before Gartner, Steve spent four years as Deputy CTO of Riverbed Technology and held various security strategy and technical program management roles at Amazon Web Services for two years and at Microsoft for eleven years. Steve's interest in security began all the way back in 1995, when he convinced his then-employer that it would be a good idea to install a firewall on their brand new internet connection.
With an extensive background in security, cloud, and hyperscale, including architecting one of the world's largest content delivery networks (CDN) at Limelight and enterprise-class network security at Cisco and IronPort Systems, Zechtzer speaks the language of networking leaders. Zechtzer started his career at NASA working on parallel computing, then moved into engineering where he took on increasing responsibilities related to architecting networks to maximize performance, security, and resilience. At Netskope, he has spent over two years as a principal architect focused on NewEdge and was one of the early leaders to aid the company in its pivot away from a public cloud-based architecture to a security private cloud that delivers security without the performance trade-offs common with alternative, legacy approaches.
